Setup guide (macOS Apple Silicon)
1. Download and install SafAI Desktop
- Visit safai.shridhar.de and choose Start Now.
- Download the macOS Apple Silicon build.
- Open the DMG and drag SafAI to Applications.
- If macOS blocks the app, right-click SafAI → Open → confirm (beta notarisation in progress).
2. Create your account and start protection
Launch SafAI, sign up with email OTP, and start protection from the Dashboard. No credit card is required. You get 14 days of full access.
3. Install the Chrome Web Store extension
- Open the SafAI Chrome Web Store listing.
- Click Add to Chrome and confirm the installation.
- Keep SafAI Desktop running. The extension connects to the local desktop app and does not scrub prompts by itself.
If the app's Setup page is open, it will automatically check whether the extension is installed in Chrome. The bundled Developer Mode flow is a fallback for development or when the store is unavailable.
4. Scrub your first prompt
Open Claude. Use SafAI Send in the composer. Review detected spans, then send. Responses show your real names restored locally. ChatGPT and Gemini support will follow in a later extension update.
After trial
When 14 days end, pick monthly, yearly, or lifetime in the app. Stripe billing applies only then.
